Election Eve - 030724

The UK will see it's Government decided tomorrow in the general election.

By far and away odds on favourites are the Labour Party.

So what does this mean for Pound rates?

Well, so far, very little.

A bit of ground has been given up versus the Euro, but other than that it's been trading as normal....possibly because of the odds on situation.

As it stands there's little to move Pound rates today other than some employment data out from the US later this afternoon, so it's all eyes down for Thursday.

However, in reality, it will be Friday before we may see fireworks. The voting stops at 10pm, and results generally come in between 11pm and 9am the following morning, so the official result is announced on Friday.

Business news is dominated by student debt in the UK with some students owing a staggering £100,000 before they start getting their hands dirty.
