European Unemployment Rate Due - MI090124

Today sees the Eurozone release its unemployment rate.

Analysts are expecting a reading of 6.5% which is in line with last months reading. Anything either side of that could create shockwaves in Euro rates.

Other than that it's another quiet day for scheduled news except a speech from the FED.

Business news is equally light with the focus being on the British Retail Consortiums like for like retail sales which came in at annualised growth of 1.9%. The BRC are suggesting it could be a tough year for both retailers and consumers.
