The higher than expected inflation number in the UK yesterday caused the Pound to jump in early trading.
Data out from the Eurozone and the US hasn't caused any impact, so the gains have held.
That could change today with speeches from both the FED and the ECB.
However the big mover for the Pound could be the UK retail sales out at breakfast tomorrow.
Business news is sparse on the ground with a couple of interviews being conducted at Davos. The indication is for a potential let up in consumer energy prices from April onwards.
